Welcome to the mindtalk
the mind talk
As life threw challenges my way, I succumbed under pressure, and what suffered most was my mental health. As I continued my journey into improving my mental health, I often found myself isolated and was made aware of the stigma attached to it. I knew I wanted to do something to remove stigma around mental health and normalize conversations.
The idea for ‘The Mind Talk’ was born out of this struggle. I wanted to create a magazine that brought insightful articles and narratives of lived experiences from Hong Kong. I also wanted to be mindful that Hong Kong is unique and a melting pot of cultures. A place so vibrant and dearly loved by all those who are a part it. My intention is to create awareness and cultivate a sense of community and support through this space.
An online magazine dedicated to exploring and promoting Mental Health and Well-being.
We are committed to delivering content that is both informative and relatable.
Together, let’s create a world where mental health is understood, valued, and given the attention it deserves.

“My name is Ruchi, I have a personal history of struggling with depression and anxiety, which has led me to experience much loneliness and isolation in my life. I found myself withdrawing from friends and family at this time, as I found it very hard to relate to people and felt misunderstood, or ill advised. This compounded the sense of isolation.
Sharing personal experiences and knowledge with others through my own journey, has helped me immensely, I firmly believe that through education and the telling of stories we can be transformed. The act of storytelling helps to create a bridge of understanding, breaks down barriers and allows people to connect on a deeper more authentic level. It is through these stories that we normalize discussions about mental health and inspire others to seek the help they need. This also help to challenge misconceptions, foster empathy, and encourage dialogue.
Initiating conversations about mental health in our living rooms is crucial in allowing a wider understanding and normalization of the topic. By creating safe and supportive spaces where individuals feel comfortable to share their vulnerability and challenges, we can help to combat the sense of isolation that many people with mental health stories experience. This cultivates a sense of community and support that is instrumental in healing and recovery.
Together, we can eliminate stigma and create a world where individuals feel empowered to seek help and receive the support they deserve.”
